HIGHLIGHTS & THINGS TO KNOW

Click to the right or left on the pictures to see more! Please keep in mind my blog is ever evolving and to showcase the authenticity of my growth and my journey, I have kept old photos as part of my journey to share.

  • Lisbon is Hilly
Comfortable walking shoes are a must. You’ll get your steps in, but the views make it all worth it.

  • Affordable but Rising
Lisbon is still budget-friendly compared to most Western European cities, but prices have increased in recent years due to tourism and expat growth.

  • English is Widely Spoken
While Portuguese is the national language, most people in hospitality and tourism speak English well.

  • Use Public Transport or Walk
Taxis and Ubers are available, but trams and metro are efficient and fun to use. Walking is the best way to stumble upon hidden gems.

  • Stay in a Traditional Riad or Boutique Hotel
Lisbon has beautiful stays — think tiled facades, cozy courtyards, and epic balconies. Book early for best spots.

  • Weather is Mild Year-Round
Summers are hot and dry. Spring and fall offer the best balance of sun and manageable crowds.

  • Cash & Cards
Many places accept cards, but keep some cash on hand for markets or smaller cafés.

  • Safety & Scams
Lisbon is generally very safe. Watch for pickpockets in crowded tourist areas like trams or markets.
